Think Blue Thoughts

We almost missed it.  Luckily, Gretchen needed kibble and I popped into PetCo yesterday and learned that May is Pet Cancer Awareness Month.

Beauty Boy 2Pet cancer is a concern of ours because we lost our darling Fred to cancer, and several other pets we’ve known have also died because of cancer of some sort.

If you follow the links above, there is lots of information on early detection.  It’s not exactly a happy dogs on thursday post, but it is a very important one…

Not a happy thought but one we all know too well. Thanks for the link to the early signs. Hopefully one day the evil “C” can be eradicated for humans and animals.

definately not a happy post, but yes, a very important one. As I glance around the room and see three camped out puppies. I said something to Jay about DearDudleyDog again last night – it still seems strange that he isn’t woofing at me for his dinner. g

I’d have to add one more sign – a persistent cough. That was the first and almost only sign we had from Monty. We check for lumps and bumps constantly.

Snickers and Twix need to be reminded to get their checkups. I’ll tell their Mom. (My daughter:)

Thanks for the reminder and the links…
