Flowers on Thorsday

Happy Thorsday to you!  Mama is still finalizing details on the Five Sibes book blog tour, so just stay tuned and we’ll host them soon enough.   It’s a really cute book though; we’ve read it several times!  (Well…  Mama and I have.  I’m not sure Dadaw’s read it and who knows when Sissy is paying attention?!)

Instead, we’ll distract you with Mama’s new favorite photo of Sissy, and one of me just because Mama says that’s only fair.

Sissy is a hoot, isn’t she?  And yes, her nose used to be darker.  Mama is guessing the immuno-suppressants Sis was on a couple of years ago did it, as the only other dog-ma she’s spoken with who has seen the same thing happen has a dog also on those drugs.

That’s the original nose.  Do you have any experience with such?

And that’s the fair air time photo of yours truly.  I’m not as into wearing non-clothes as Sissy is, but we thank our Auntie G very much for thinking of us!

[…] Thorsday, little friday and Thankful Thursday!  Gretchen has a cute post up on their blog, but she also is taking care of a little question for me.  If you have any experience (first-hand […]

Gretchen girl, love the pink flower tutu!! You are the cat’s meow. (That’s what mom says to me but I never really wanted anything to do with a cat)!! And, Sissy’s purple headband is tres chic. I’m thinking Sissy just has a fashionable tan and it makes her nose appear lighter. Mom says her research on the subject leads her to believe it is part of the fur-girl aging process, but I reject that notion so I won’t be discussing noses with her again anytime soon!
    Smooches,
    Macy

Great pics girls… spring is coming!

  7. Sue Says:

Sissy, I sent your Mom a long email about our changing noses. Don’t worry, it’s not an age thing.

  8. Kathy Says:

My pup used to have the blackest nose when she was a baby. Then it faded to a brownish color and I read it could be a seasonal thing due less time in the sunshine in the winter. After I read that it did get noticeably darker in the summer but never as black as in her babyhood. Now I think it’s just permanently pink. Someone in Austin even commented on her pink nose the other weekend. If you do find out more about this, I’d love to know!

  9. gMarie Says:

You girls look adorable and I’m glad gg was willing to humor me and put the headband on her waist. It’s fabulous as a ‘tutu.’
As for the nose – no idea at all. g

    Love ya lots,
    Mitch

  11. StarSpry Says:

Very cute photos of you both! Perfect for spring 🙂

  12. Karen Says:

I had to go check Daisy’s nose after reading your post, as she is the same coloring as Miss Sissy. Her nose is black, although her face is getting whiter with age, she is 9 3/4. I have no words of wisdom about why the change. Mama knows best, so I would agree with her. I showed Daisy and Tiffany your adorable flower bands and they both want them too 🙂

Huck had SNOW nose…that is what they called it. dogs in northern climates with snow ..having a black nose go pink. Ive heard of dog owners painting their dogs noses for dog shows…..snow nose is a fault…
Shhhhh don’t tell her. SHe’s darling anyhow

  14. Jed & Abby in MerryLand, USA Says:

Now we all want to know what Sue told you. Jed just came with a pink nose; it’s always been that way.

Your Spring flower accessories are cute! Really love Sissy’s sweet petal face.

  15. Mango Says:

Wow, Sissy, that whole snooter thing is kind of weird. Whatever, as long as you are healthy, that’s what counts.
