Three cheers for Queen Bitty and her mom for kicking off the first ever Dogsgiving!  It’s about time someone recognized that pets get the shaft on Thanksgiving and we’re getting our due today, and every Tuesday before Thanksgiving forever more.

Of course, if you are one of the lucky ones not excluded from the Turkey Day feasts, do chime in.  Guilt doesn’t seem to work well on our mom, but that doesn’t stop us from trying.  (Never mind that Sissy is allergic to turkey and corn, both prominent features on most Thanksgiving tables…)

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving treat?  We do get potatoes, and there’s a can of moist dog food we’ve never seen before sitting near our kibble bin, so I guess we aren’t really neglected, but don’t tell Mama we said so!

[…] So from the Pond (where Bitty lives) to the Woods, it’s the first annual Dogsgiving!  Bitty and Bear are celebrating with turkey legs, but of course, we need a Sissy-friendly diet, so we’ll be celebrating with salmon and potatoes instead.  The fur-girls have posted their take on things here.  […]

I (Holly) get people treats all the time. The 3 little people drop lots of Kix, Chex, and other things when they eat cereal. It’s my job to sit under the table and make sure Mom doesn’t have to sweep up crumbs. And just this morning, a boy dropped the peanut butter. It was plastic, so it didn’t break, but there was yummy goodness on the floor and they called me to clean it up. Aren’t I helpful?! Somedays I get just a plain bowl of kibble, and I will eat it. But, I prefer steamed green beans, sweet potato, baked potato, or even potato soup on my kibble. And if Mom has been cooking…there might even be some chicken broth to moisten it all. I don’t think I’m spoiled at all. ;0) Just LOVED! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the Woods from all of us near the Pacific Ocean.

PS…we’ll have to feed Holly early so she can stay home tomorrow while we visit my SIL & BIL. We didn’t travel to Napa this year because Holly isn’t ready to travel with us…and we didn’t reserve a spot for her with the trainer. As a bonus…because we’re home, the shower door gets installed tomorrow. The kids are joking that Holly needs the first shower. It’s been too chilly for a hose bath in the yard.

sorry about the allergies. We do get turkey on Thanksgiving and on any other day there are still leftovers. Actually we even got some today. Mom makes broth with turkey necks, gizzards, and livers to use for the gravy – tonight she picked all the turkey off the necks and gave us all some on our kibble – yummers!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you from all of us.

We really can’t complain….mom and dad often give us some of their goodies after a meal, and their Turkey Day is no exception. Because of Dad’s job, they are almost always here for hollerdaze, so get included! Enjoy your Dogsgiving.
    Woofs…Sasha and Misty

We get a wee bit of mashed potato and a smidge of pumpkin pie and we’re happy to get it!

    Love ya lots,
