Greener Pastures

Happy Thorsday!  No, things aren’t greening up here yet, but over the weekend, the horse pasture was empty, the gate was open, and we ventured to the lake and the bench.

Clearly, it’s still a winter scene with dead grasses and a cold lake, but tomorrow brings a new month, more daylight hours and hopefully, greener pastures.

Any signs of spring at your house?

We have had tulips and hyacinths poking their heads through the soil for about 6 weeks now with our crazy weather. Now they are buried under about 4 feet of piled-up snow. Wonder if they will survive?

No signs of spring here. We got 4 inches of snow the other day, don’t the realize we are approaching March where Spring flowers are suppose to be popping up everywhere. Have a great day! Sniffs, The HoundDogs

Hey! There is nothing here about your new best time. But I’m aware – and envious and I’ll be thinking of you as I PLOD along on Sunday!

Looks like a beautiful area to have those wicked girls drag you on a walk. I wish I could go with you girls. g

What a nice place to walk. My dogs would love it. We didn’t really get a winter this year so we have lots of spring signs around.

Not really. We had a few unfortunate plants start to grow back in Jan when we had a string of warm days, but they died back down. Now it’s cold & windy with the threat of snow by the middle of next week. Mama’s hoping for another virtually snowless winter.

Daffodils! They were my Nanny’s favorite flower and they always remind me that Spring is on the way. Now if it would just hurry up!
