One Day of Fall

UntitledHappy Thorsday!  We only had one colorful fall day.  Normally, the trees on our road are spectacular, but this year, the frost and the Indian Summer and the rain all arrived at precisely the wrong times.  Please enjoy our lone photo of the color we did get… seriously, just on one day, before it rained and the wind blew, and that was that.

The fur-girls don’t care much at all.  Gretchen isn’t crazy about all the crunchy leaves on the ground, especially when she is searching for the perfect place for some relief, but Sissy loves to leap and pounce in the leaves.

How was your fall color display?

[…] Red rover, red rover send… Rescue Rover right over.  I’ll get back to Rescue Rover in a moment.   First, I want to wish you a happy Thorsday, little friday and thankful thursday.  It’s a super-hectic time in the Woods, and we’re all pouting a little because we only had one day of fall and we nearly missed it.   I did get one photo and it’s up on the fur-girls’ blog. Since snow fell the last three weekends of September when the trees were full of green leaves, Fall skipped over Wyoming. Some trees are holding on to the brown and dry leaves until strong wind gusts bring them to the ground in waves. Sigh!

Such a beautiful photo! I’m sorry you only had one day of fall colors, though.

Our fall was much the same. The trees were very late to change and I noticed one day that they had. Before I could even remember to take my camera out, they were gone. We’ve had a lot of wind and now have a yard full of leaves. The dogs love running thru them and unfortunately pooping in them. Makes the poop hard to find.

Strangely, this is one of the rare years when we actually had fall! Just got back from the Hill, where there was much lovely color on display….sadly, zero photos were taken
